Rabbits

Rabbits

Rabbit Rabbits do not often show obvious signs of illness until late in the development of a disease.  Because of this it is very important to take note of any change in your rabbit’s appearance or behavior. Obvious signs of illness include runny nose, watery eyes, labored breathing, diahrea or constipation.  Rabbits are generally very clean animals, so if you notice a dirty matted coat, it may be a sign of illness.  Changes in behavior can also be signs of illness.  If you notice a lack of appetite, inability to eat or lethargy your pet could be sick.Rabbits are as suceptable to fleas and ear mites as a cat or dog, so it is important to keep you pet in a clean environment.
