As a walk-in clinic, it can be difficult to know what to expect on any particular day! While we are open from 7:00am-6:00pm on weekdays and from 7:00am-noon on Saturdays, we ask that you arrive and sign in to see the veterinarian between 8:00am-10:00am, or between 1:00pm-5:00pm. This helps us make sure that we can give each patient and client the time, attention, and care they need, while still respecting everyone’s time.
Of course, if you do not need to see a veterinarian – picking up medicines, nail trims, dropping a pet off, or a procedure that needs a technician – you are welcome to come in any time during our regular hours. We do schedule appointments for annual vaccines, surgeries, dental cleanings, boarding, and farm calls or haul-in equine and farm animal procedures.
Our waiting rooms are spacious and welcoming. We have separate dog and cat spaces, to keep those nervous kitties away from the big dogs. There is plenty of room to spread out, in case your pets aren’t very social. If your dogs are difficult to handle or need a break from being inside, you are welcome to wait outside or in your vehicle. We ask that you please notify our reception team and provide them with your cell phone number so we know where to find you when it’s your pets turn!
When our staff is ready to see your pet, we’ll call you in from the waiting room, or will call your cell phone to ask you to come into the waiting room. One of our Registered Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants will bring you and your pet into an exam room where they will ask some questions about your pet’s history and begin a physical examination. Once they have this information, they’ll step out of the room to get one of our veterinarians.
When you see the veterinarian, they will have more questions for you and do a physical examination on your pet. We know how much you care about your four-legged family member’s health and well-being. Our annual examinations, vaccines, and prevention recommendations are built around protecting your relationship with your pets. We honor that relationship by working with you to design plans for disease prevention, diagnostics, and treatments when needed that will help your pet and work with your budget. Our goal is to gain your trust and become a valued part of your pet’s health care team for life.
When everything is finished, the veterinarian will discuss any test results and treatment plans with you. Our Veterinary Technicians or Assistants will check you out right in the exam room, give you any medicines your pet needs, and you’ll be on your way!
